Evan Rachel Wood (born September 7, 1987, Raleigh, North Carolina) is a film, television, and theater actress and singer.

Her father, Ira David Wood III, (born on November 19, 1947) ran a theatre in Raleigh, which is where Evan, at a very young age, got her interest in acting. Her mother, Sara Lynn Moore (born on March 6, 1958), is also an actress.

In 1994 she lost the child role in Interview with a Vampire to Kirsten Dunst. She did get other parts in made for TV movies though. In early 1997 Evan, along with her mother and one of her 2 brothers, Ira David Wood IV (born on November 20, 1984), moved to Los Angeles where she eventually found success as Jesse Sammler in ABC's Once and Again.

While Jesse in Once And Again was Evan's "breakthrough" role. Her most well-known movie role to date is as good-girl turned bad-girl Tracy in 2003's Thirteen, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award.

Vogue named Evan one of the It Girls of Hollywood, and she along with the other girls appeared on the July 2003 cover.

In 2002 for a various artists album called "School's Out Christmas Album", Wood recorded the songs "Christmas Isn't Christmas Without You" and "Silver And Gold".

She appeared in the music video for the Green Day song "Wake Me Up When September Ends" in 2005.
